Man shot in face in Tipperary

A man in his 20s was shot in the face in Tipperary, it emerged tonight.

A man in his 20s was shot in the face in Tipperary, it emerged tonight.

The man was knocked to the ground by two other men at Cooleens Close in Clonmel at around 11.45am.

He was shot once in the face.

A Garda spokesman said the man had been taken to Cashel Hospital where he was treated and subsequently discharged.

“No persons have been arrested as yet in connection with the shooting,” he said.
