FG seeks special committee to deal with bird-flu threat

Fine Gael has called on the Government to establish a special committee to deal with the potential threat of bird flu spreading to Ireland.

The call follows yesterday's confirmation that the virus has now spread to Africa after being detected in poultry stocks in Nigeria.
