HSE to prepare national cervical cancer screening scheme

Minister for Health Mary Harney has reportedly asked the Health Service Executive to prepare a plan for the implementation of a national cervical cancer screening programme.

Reports this morning said Ms Harney was insisting she was fully committed to the move, but had given no timeframe for the roll-out of screening throughout the country.
