Drug baron Gilligan penning memoirs

Drug trafficker and one time chief suspect in the murder of journalist Veronica Guerin – John Gilligan is to write a book in a bid to dispel what he claims are the half truths written about his life of crime.

Gilligan, who was tried and acquitted in 2002 of killing Ms Guerin, is five years into a 20-year prison sentence in Portlaoise Prison for possession of 20,000 kilos of cannabis resin.
