Bank union seeks more profit-sharing deals for workers

The Irish Bank Officials Association is demanding that financially successful firms share some of their profits with their workers.

The association's general secretary, Larry Broderick, said today that private-sector pay had fallen behind that in the public sector as a result of recent social partnership deals.
