An Irish firm that provides outsourcing services to other companies has announced plans to create 50 new jobs in Cork in the coming year as part of a €1.5m expansion plan.

An Irish firm that provides outsourcing services to other companies has announced plans to create 50 new jobs in Cork in the coming year as part of a €1.5m expansion plan.

Abtran said the jobs would be created at its headquarters in the University Technology Centre in Bishopstown.

The new positions will be in areas including research and development, business analysis and software development.

Abtran already employs 250 people at the Bishopstown facility.
