Trailer load of toxic sludge found abandoned in Louth

The local authorities in Co Louth are investigating the discovery of an abandoned trailer containing toxic sludge on a road north of Dundalk today.

The trailer is believed to contain a number of plastic barrels filled with chemicals left over from the process of illegally "laundering" coloured agricultural diesel.
