Mother says she would not lie for daughter

A Donegal mother has told a Central Criminal Court jury she would not lie for her daughter who alleges her cousin raped her, although she was keen to protect her.

The 26-year-old man denies four charges of rape and two of sexual assault of the now 20-year-old woman on dates from June 2000 to August 2002.
