Truckers’ toll booth protest set to cause traffic chaos

Motorists using the new Kilcock-Kinnegad bypass are being warned to expect serious disruption this morning due to a truckers' protest against the high tolls being levied on the road.

Members of the Irish Road Haulage Association were planning to effectively blockade the motorway for two hours from 7am by driving up to the toll booths and refusing to pay.
