Government asked to explain why treaties never went before Dáil

The Labour Party today called on the Minister for Foreign Affairs to explain why two bilateral defence agreements with the US were never laid before the Dáil.

The Constitution requires every international agreement to go before the House, unless they are technical or administrative.
