The Irish Nurses Organisation (INO) has accused the Health Service Executive (HSE) of engaging in an infantile and misleading attempt to deflect attention from overcrowding at Limerick's Regional Hospital.

The accusation was made in response to the HSE's claim that up to 1,800 extra operations could be carried out at the hospital every year if nurses agreed to work reforms.
