Consultants fail to convince HSE of need for more beds

The Irish Hospital Consultants Association has reported no progress in its efforts to secure extra acute hospital beds to alleviate A&E overcrowding.

The association met with HSE chief executive Brendan Drumm earlier this week to discuss the matter.
