Plea over schools programme to beat abuse

A safety programme designed to help protect children from abuse should be made mandatory in all primary schools, it was claimed today.

Olwyn Enright, Fine Gael’s education spokeswoman, said one in five primary schools do not offer the "Stay Safe" programme.
