McDowell says issues remain over reporting of abuse claims

Minister for Justice Michael McDowell said today he recognised there was still an issue about the mandatory reporting of child abuse claims against members of the clergy.

There's concern that the guidelines published by the Catholic Church yesterday don't go far enough on how and who should report allegations to the civil authorities.
