Man badly wounded in shooting
Gardaí were today investigating two separate shootings which left one man badly wounded.
A 33-year-old was recovering in hospital after he was shot in the neck and shoulder in a gun attack in north Dublin.
He was attacked at around 8pm in the Northway Estate in Finglas. He was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown where he is said to be in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, a man in his 20s was arrested by gardaí after a number of shots were fired at a home in the Moyross area of Limerick.
The attack took place at around 4am and four people were in the house at the time. No-one was injured.
A man was later arrested in the Moyross area and taken to Mayorstone Garda station for questioning.
