ISPCC reports 19% fall in number of child beggars

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children has reported a 19% fall in the number of children begging on Ireland's streets.

The organisation said 785 children were seen begging in 2004, down from almost 3,000 eight years ago.
