The Tánaiste Mary Harney has told the Dáil that the Government is considering the introduction of barrier-free tolling for motorists.

Yesterday, the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern told Green Party leader John Gormley that the Government had no plans to introduce the measure in an effort to alleviate congestion at toll booths.
