The number of people describing themselves as "at work" grew by 93,000 in the year to date to 1,890,600, according to the latest Quarterly National Household Survey by the Central Statistics Office.

The number of people describing themselves as "at work" grew by 93,000 in the year to date to 1,890,600, according to the latest Quarterly National Household Survey by the Central Statistics Office.

This compares to an increase of 57,100 in the year to the third quarter of 2004. Meanwhile, the number of persons describing themselves as "unemployed" rose by 2,100 in the year to 119,800.
