Unionists slam planned reform of North bureaucracy

Unionists have slammed the local government reforms announced for the North today, claiming they are designed solely as a concession to Sinn Féin.

Northern Secretary Peter Hain announced a reduction in the number of district councils from 26 to seven, as well as a major streamlining of health and education agencies.
