A suspended detective Garda today won an injunction from the Supreme Court to prevent the Morris Tribunal beginning its investigation into allegations he planted a sawn-off shotgun at a traveller camp.

A suspended detective Garda today won an injunction from the Supreme Court to prevent the Morris Tribunal beginning its investigation into allegations he planted a sawn-off shotgun at a traveller camp.

The High Court had earlier rejected an application by Detective Sergeant John White for judicial review to stop the tribunal opening its module into the incident at the Burnfoot traveller camp in Donegal in 1998.
