Man dies in road accident in Ballymahon, Co Longford

A man has died in a road accident in the Ballymahon area of Co Longford this morning.

A number of other people were injured in the accident, which happened at around 9am.

No further details are available.

Meanwhile, the Gardaí have revealed that a man in his 40s was killed over the weekend after the car he was travelling in crashed in Co Donegal.

The accident happened at Tullyhonour in Letterkenny early yesterday morning, but the information was only given to the media today.
