A man in his 20s was being questioned tonight about the death of an elderly pensioner in Sligo.

Edward Fitzmaurice, 83, was left gagged and bound in his home in Bellaghy, near Charlestown in 1998 after a robbery. He died from hypothermia and his body was found by a neighbour five days later.
