Redmond looking to halt corruption trial
An application will be made on behalf of Mr George Redmond, former Assistant City and County Manager, to halt his scheduled Dublin Circuit Criminal Court trial next month for alleged corruption.
Mr Redmond was due to go on trial on December 5 but Judge Michael While was told by defence counsel that an application will be made on that date for a permanent stay on the trial on the grounds of the accused’s ill-health.
