Search goes on for two men after cliff plunge

The search for two men feared drowned when their jeep plunged from cliffs into the Atlantic on the Clare coast in the early hours of Monday is resuming at first light today.

The body of a third man, found on a beach near Doolin on Tuesday morning, has been identified as 24-year-old Ennis man Martin Griffin.

A post-mortem revealed that he died from head injuries which may have been sustained as the jeep hit a number of ledges on the cliff face as it dropped into the Atlantic ocean.
