Priests urged to consult parishioners on child protection
The Archbishop of Dublin has urged priests in the diocese to consult parishioners on how to improve child protection.
Dr Diarmuid Marin has written a letter to all priests asking them to establish a programme of consultation about how to learn lessons from the recently-published Ferns Report.
The document outlined details of around 100 allegations of clerical sex abuse by 40 priests in the diocese of Ferns.
