Ireland’s first female judge retires at 71
Ireland's first-ever female judge Ms Justice Mella Carroll is retiring today after 25 years with the High Court.
Ms Justice Carroll was appointed to the job in 1980 and has since become the longest-serving High Court judge in the history of the State.
