Teenager killed in Belfast hit-and-run

A 19-year-old man has died following a hit-and-run incident in south Belfast in the early hours of this morning.

The teenager was crossing the street at the junction of Tierney Gardens and Donegall Road at around 2am when he was hit by a passing car that failed to stop.

The PSNI is investigating whether a vehicle found burned out off the Ormeau Road might be linked to the incident.

The police are also appealing for information from any witnesses to the hit-and-run.
