Former union chief to mediate in Corrib dispute

The former Secretary General of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, Peter Cassells, has been appointed as mediator in the Corrib Gas project dispute.

The Minister for Communications, Marine & Natural Resources, Noel Dempsey said: "Peter Cassells is a very well respected figure in mediation and industrial relations in Ireland.
