Canal body discovery not suspicious

Gardaí investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in the Royal Canal in Dublin say foul play is not suspected.

Gardaí investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in the Royal Canal in Dublin say foul play is not suspected.

The woman’s remains were found in the water near Drumcondra around 10am today.

It is not known how long the body was in the water.

The woman’s remains have been removed to Dublin City Morgue for a post mortem.

A spokesman said the woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
