Six die on roads, five in Donegal crash
Three men and two women have died in a road accident in Co Donegal.
The accident happened at Cross Quigley’s Point, Muff around 3.30am.
All five victims were in their early 20s and were travelling in a car that was involved in a head-on collision with another car.
The driver of the other car was also injured and is being treated at Altnagelvin Hospital.
Gardaí in Buncrana are investigating the crash.
The accident brought to six the number of road deaths overnight.
Another woman, believed to be in her 20s, died when the car in which she was a passenger collided head-on with another car at Two-Mile-Bridge on the main Waterford - Clonmel road last night.
Five others were injured in the crash, and were taken to hospital in Cashel and Waterford.
It is understood two of the injured, one a 10-year-old girl, are in a critical condition.
