The Irish Navy has detained two trawlers off the South West Coast on suspicion of breaching fishing regulations.

The Irish Navy has detained two trawlers off the South West Coast on suspicion of breaching fishing regulations.

The Anglo-Spanish boat the Meridian and the German-Spanish vessel the Rodas are suspected of faiing to keep proper log books.

Both are being escorted back to Castletownbere, where they will be inspected by officials from the Department of the Marine.
