First day of freedom for Rossport Five
The Rossport Five are waking up as free men.
The five men were released by the High Court yesterday afternoon after spending 94 days behind bars for contempt of court.
The breakthrough that lead to the men being allowed out of jail came after the Government offered to appoint an independent facilitator to chair talks between Shell and the Rossport Five, who are at odds over the Corrib Gas Pipeline project.
The men are due back before the President of the High Court later this month when he'll decide what punishment to impose.
