A support group for mothers who undergo Caesarean sections has reportedly claimed that increasing numbers of women are suffering mental health problems as a result of the procedure.

Reports this morning said the Irish branch of the International Caesarean Awareness Network had claimed the growing popularity of Caesarean sections was leading to an increase in depression and post-traumatic stress among women.
