Govt must repay €15.5m after losing EU court appeal

The Irish Government could be forced to repay more than €15.5m to the European Union Social Fund after losing an appeal at the European Court of Justice today.

The Government was appealing an order from the European Commission that the money be repaid due to irregularities in the way it was claimed.
