Gym industry body calls for agency to oversee sector

Ireland's only representative body for gyms and health clubs has called on the Government to establish an agency to oversee the sector.

At present, the hundreds of gyms that have sprung up in every Irish town and city in recent years are not even obliged to meet basic standards of hygiene or staff training.
