Mid-week Lotto heading for €7m

The National Lottery offices have put champagne on ice.

Tomorrow's mid-week Lotto jackpot will be the fourth-biggest in the history of the game and someone could be in for a windfall of €7m.

Spokesperson Paula McEvoy said the odds are just as good whether you play Quick-Pick or stake all on your birthday numbers. “Each have the same chance of winning the jackpot prize or any other prize in Lotto. It's totally random,” she said. “We just hope there's going to be a winner this week.”
