New school of music for Cork

A contract has been signed for a new Cork school of music.

The project will be designed, built, funded and run for 25 years by Hochtief Developments at a cost of €60m.

The Minister for Education Mary Hanafin said the school will accommodate 400 full-time and 2000 part-time students.
