Gardaí in Dublin have arrested two men following a hold-up at a shop in the Drumcondra area of the city yesterday evening.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested two men following a hold-up at a shop in the Drumcondra area of the city yesterday evening.

The pair, aged 27 and 41, were arrested by local officers on the beat who chased them on foot following the robbery on Home Farm Road at around 8pm.

The raiders, who had stolen cash and cigarettes, were armed with a knife and what appeared to be a handgun.
