Thousands due in Stradbally for Electric Picnic

Stradbally, Co Laois is hosting the last big festival of the summer this weekend.

An estimated 25,000 people are expected to attend Electric Picnic, which is being held in the grounds of the Stradbally Hall Estate, near Portlaoise.

Fatboy Slim, James Blunt and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are on the bill as well as Irish acts Roisin Murphy and Damian Dempsey.

Tommy Tiernan and Des Bishop lead the line up on the international comedy stage.
