Cullen rejects criticism of private speed camera system

Transport Minister Martin Cullen has defended the Government's plans to privatise the operation of speed cameras in Ireland.

Critics have claimed a private system will inevitably see the system used as a means to generate revenue rather than prevent road accidents.
