Conroy: Gardaí may be recruited from other forces
The Garda Commissioner has suggested that officers may be recruited from foreign police forces to help the Gardaí deal with Ireland's growing immigrant population.
Noel Conroy made the suggestion at a meeting of the International Police Association in Dublin.
The Government has already announced plans to change garda entry requirements in order to attract more members from ethnic minorities.
