Three major new road projects are reportedly due to be completed before the end of this year, months ahead of schedule.

Reports this morning said the 4.6km Sligo Inner Relief Road had been completed three months in advance of its deadline and was due to be officially opened next Friday.

The reports also said the 11km Dundalk Western Bypass was six months ahead of schedule and would be opened to the public in September.

Elsewhere, the Kilcock to Kinnegad section of the M4, the largest of the three roads at 39km, is also reportedly due to open a full year in advance of its projected completion date.
