Govt urged to remove SSIA savings from third-level grant assessments

The Green Party has called on the Government to stop taking SSIA savings into account when assessing eligibility for third-level grants.

The party said students applying for grants were currently being asked to provide details of any money they hold in Special Savings Incentive Accounts.
