Five in custody after €11.5m cannabis, cocaine seizures

Gardaí in Dublin and Kildare are continuing to question five men arrested yesterday following two major cannabis and cocaine seizures.

Four of the men - three Irish nationals and a Spaniard - were arrested following the seizure of €10m worth of cannabis during a raid on a house in Carbury, Co Kildare.

The fifth - a 34-year-old Irishman - was arrested following an unrelated seizure of 20 kilos of cocaine in the Coolock area of Dublin.

Gardaí said the cocaine had a street value of €1.5m.
