Parents urged to ensure children wear lifejackets

The Government and the Irish Coast Guard have urged parents to ensure that their children wear lifejackets while playing with so-called "pleasure crafts".

The Department of the Marine issued a reminder today that the law requires everyone up to the age of 16 to wear a lifejacket while using such vessels.
