Govt withdraws Aran Islands contract from Galway firm
The Government has withdrawn a lucrative contract it awarded to a Co Galway company earlier this year for the provision of cargo shipping services to the Aran Islands.
The Government granted the €1.8m two-year contract to Lasta Mara in January due to dissatisfaction with the previous provider of the services, O'Brien Shipping.
