Tests on Kerry ammunition find
Forensic tests were continuing tonight on a major find of ammunition in Kerry.
The ammunition was found on a stream bank in the Tonevane area of Tralee by a local man out walking last Tuesday.
A Garda spokeswoman said the ammunition had been removed for technical examination and added that no one had been arrested in connection with the find.
Although some locals believe the ammunition may have been for assault rifles and deliberately discarded by the IRA, gardaí have not revealed the type of bullets found.
