Shots fired as businessman is robbed in north Dublin

Two armed and masked men have stolen an undisclosed sum of money from a businessman in the Donaghmede area north Dublin.

The man was travelling in a van along St Donagh's Road when the men confronted him at around 11am.

The pair fired a shot during the robbery before fleeing the scene in a BMW or Mercedes car.

Nobody was injured during the incident, but the businessman was taken to hospital and treated for shock.
