Gay community welcomes McDowell partnership promise

The gay and lesbian community this afternoon welcomed the Government's promise to begin discussions on legalising same-sex partnerships.

The Minister for Justice said last night that he was committed to legislating on equal rights for same-sex partnerships and that it was a question of "how", not "if".
