Missing 75-year-old Dublin woman found alive

A missing 75-year-old woman, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, has been found alive in west County Dublin.

A missing 75-year-old woman, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, has been found alive in west County Dublin.

Mary McDermott was reported missing from her home along the Grand Canal on Tuesday.

She was located by gardaí on waste ground in Lucan at around 11.30am today.

Gardaí say she was conscious and is now in Blanchardstown Hospital.
